Hormones and Weight Loss

Hi readers,

I am postmenopausal (at 21 years old), and as a result, my estrogen levels are much lower than what people. My condition led to weight gain. I have been taking low-dose estrogen pills. Taking the pills is helping me lose a lot of weight. I felt guilty before taking them, as I felt like nothing I was doing to lose weight was working. Let me rephrase that. Holy crap! I thought it was me. I love chocolate and pasta, but I still eat healthy. It is difficult for me to build muscle. But I lift weights as part of my workout. It's clear to me now that something went wrong with my hormones. It did not just affect my period, but my metabolism as well. At least, that's what's been happening to me these past 3 weeks. Some evidence suggests that hormone therapy speeds up a woman’s metabolic rate.
